Tuition assistance applications are now available through SSS. Please complete your application by Jan. 31. This application needs to be completed each school year to continue to qualify for tuition assistance. Friends Academy’s SSS code is 1058.
You do not have to file your federal tax return before completing a tuition assistance application. Families may estimate their information to meet the Jan. 31 deadline.
There are several after-school enrichment offerings this winter, including yoga, face painting, cooking, and comedy. Students may participate in these classes, and then go to the After-School Program if needed. (Note: Woodworking is full.)
Our annual family-friendly fundraiser, FriendsFest 2020, will benefit improvements for the library. Open to all members of the FA community and their friends. Activities will include bounce houses in the gym, face painting, temporary tattoos, bingo, a photo booth, a Middle School-only karaoke room, and a faculty talent show at 6:00 p.m. All tickets include dinner by local chef Chris Chaput.
Tickets are $25 for adults and children ($35 including two drink tickets). Children 2 and under are free. Register by Friday, Jan. 31 to secure a free Friends Academy t-shirt for all children in your party! Register now.
Come join Ms. Serpa from the After-School Program and friends for a fun-filled week of crafts, games, science, and exploration during Spring Vacation Camp from March 16-20. Activities will include cooking, a wood shop project, sports, forts, and more. Open to students in Early Childhood through Grade 5. The cost is $285. Space is limited, so register now!

- 7th and 8th Grade Play: Shrek
The first semester ended on Friday, Jan. 17. Grades and reports will be available in the BigSIS Parent Portal in approximately one week.
All middle school students are invited to perform at the Middle School Showcase on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commons! Past performances have included songs, dances, skits, makeup tutorials, and magic. Interested students should talk to Mr. Murdock.
Rehearsals have begun for the 7th and 8th grade play, Shrek. The rehearsal schedule can be found on the school’s public calendar.
