Campus Closed Until Monday, May 4; Distance Learning Begins March 30
March 25, 2020
Governor Baker has extended the closure of all Massachusetts K-12 schools through the end of April. Friends Academy is following this statewide emergency action, which means that students will not return to campus until Monday, May 4 at the earliest.
Here is how we are planning to amend our learning schedule in light of these actions. These dates are subject to change as this situation evolves. We will continue to follow the latest information, guidance, and emergency actions from government and public health officials, and we will communicate any schedule changes to families in a timely manner.
- Spring break will conclude as planned on Sunday, March 29.
- All students will begin distance learning on Monday, March 30 and continue through Sunday, May 3.
- Campus will reopen to students on Monday, May 4 for the first full day back in class.
We will continue to adapt to this constantly evolving situation to support your child’s education. Our community is coming together to embrace the challenge in front of us. We are doing everything in our power to create the best possible learning environment and experience for our students, faculty, and families.
As always, please reach out to me or your child’s teacher, advisor, or division head if you have questions or concerns about any aspect of distance learning in the coming weeks.
