Financial Assistance

Friends Academy offers flexible payment plans and need-based tuition assistance to help make your child’s education a fit for your family. We do not want you to be deterred from applying based on cost alone.

Flexible Payment Plans

You can pay tuition over 1, 2, 10, or 12 months, depending on what works best for your family’s finances. Friends uses Smart Tuition to administer these interest-free payment plans.

Need-Based Tuition Assistance

If your family truly can’t afford to invest in the full cost of a Friends education, we encourage you to apply for need-based financial aid. Approximately half of our students receive tuition assistance of some kind to make their education possible.

Tuition assistance is available for students in Kindergarten through eighth grade. There is no preset income level that qualifies a family for need-based aid.

How to Apply for Financial Aid:

Friends uses School and Student Services (SSS) to make fair and objective financial aid decisions. Based on the financial information you provide, including income, assets, savings, and investments, SSS gives us an estimated amount that your family can contribute to educational expenses.

All families (new and returning) who wish to be considered for need-based tuition assistance must complete an online application through SSS. Friends Academy’s SSS code is 1058.

Financial assistance applications for new families will be considered on a rolling basis throughout the year. Complete your financial aid application when you apply for admission. You will be notified about tuition assistance along with your admission decision.

Returning families typically receive a similar level of financial assistance each year as long as their financial situation doesn’t change significantly.

Complete your financial aid application by February 1. If you have not yet filed your federal tax return by that date, you may estimate your information and upload your most recent tax documents to meet the deadline. Tuition assistance notifications are sent out with re-enrollment contracts.
